Company headquarters relocates from 500 Plaza Drive in Secaucus, New Jersey, to 100 Lighting Way.

2003
New office opens in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to house the Electronic Products Group. Weissmann Travel Reports moves from Austin, Texas, to Winston-Salem, and STAR Service Online moves from Secaucus. Intelliguide Corporate is launched.

2002
Weissmann Travel Reports stops publishing in print and becomes an online product.

2001
Boston Ventures, a private equity firm backed by management including George Hundley (President and CEO) and Scott McIlhenny (COO), purchases Northstar Travel Media (formerly Cahners Travel Group) from Reed Elsevier.

2000
STAR Service stops publishing in print and becomes STAR Service Online.

1998
Reed Elsevier announces intent to restructure Reed Travel Group: The airline information business, including all OAG-branded products, begins operating as a division of Reed Business Information. All RTG's hotel, destination and periodicals businesses become part of Cahners Travel Group within Cahners Business Information.

1996
Reed Elsevier buys Weissmann Travel Reports from Arnie Weissmann.

1993
Reed Elsevier acquires Official Airline Guides from Maxwell Communications Corporation and integrates it into Reed Travel Group.

1990
Previously known as the North American Travel Planner, Business Travel Planner is established as an almanac-style index to hotels and airports around the world. It was published in book format from 1990 to 2003 and became Web-based as BTP24 in 2004.

1989
Reed International creates Reed Travel Group after buying Travel Weekly, Meetings & Conventions and the hotel directories.

1986
Weissmann Travel Reports is founded by Arnie Weissmann in Austin, Texas. The first copy was printed in Waco, Texas, on October 6, 1986. On his return to Austin, Weissmann passed a Waco travel agency, stopped in, and made the first sale.

Reed Publishing buys STAR Service from Bob Sloane.

1984
Rupert Murdoch buys Ziff-Davis' travel-related publications and groups them under the name Murdoch Magazines. Included were Travel Weekly, Hotel & Travel Index, Official Hotel & Resort Guide and Meetings & Conventions.

1969
TravelAge West is launched in New York City by Martin Deutsch, editorial director. Robert Parrish was the first publisher.

1968
Ziff-Davis buys Hotel & Travel Index from Elwood Ingledue.

1966
Ziff-Davis buys Travel Weekly from Robinson Publications.

1966
Gellert-Wolfman Publishing Corp. in New York begins publishing Meetings & Conventions. The first publisher was Milton T. Astroff, and the original editor was Mel Hosansky.

1960
Sloane Travel Agency Reports, later known as STAR Service, is founded in West Hartford, Connecticut, by Bob Sloane, a syndicated travel columnist.

1960
North American Travel Planner, the precursor to BTP24, is launched.

1958
Travel Weekly is launched in New York City by Irwin Robinson, who was the editor and publisher in the early years. The new newspaper combined two previous publications, Travel Items and Travel Courier. The first Travel Weekly was published October 21, 1958.

1939
Hotel & Travel Index is launched by Elwood Ingledue
